Iseoluwanimi Ayo-Fagbuyi

His name means "I am the handiwork of God." He took it literally – and started making things: novels, worlds, and an anime universe drawn from Nigerian soil.

About the Author

The Boy Behind the Ink

Iseoluwanimi Ayo-Fagbuyi is a twelve-year-old Nigerian novelist and anime creator who writes the kind of stories he wants to read – and then builds the worlds to match.

He moves between two crafts: long-form fiction under the ISẹ Books imprint, and animated storytelling through ISẹ Originals. His work is shaped by faith, by Nigerian life, and by a conviction that young African voices belong at the centre of the page and the screen – not the margins.

At twelve, he has already written two full-length novels: Fly, Benaiah, Fly and The Inkborn Chronicles – a story ambitious enough that one format couldn't hold it.

ISẹOLUWANIMI

Yoruba: "I am the handiwork of God." ISẹ – pronounced ee-SHEH – means work, or handiwork. It is also the name over everything he makes.
